Cycle from Hanoi to the famous Bat Trang ceramic village, in the outskirts of the Red River Delta where we see artisans mass-produce ceramic vases and other pieces in their workshops of hot sweaty work with superb results.

Itinerary in details – what you get in a day trip …

The trip starts in the morning from Hanoi where we are cycling with a well-equipped bicycle to the famous and popular Bat Trang Pottery Village, this is a nice excursion for those who are adventurous as we are cycling around the village to meet with craftsman in their workshop.

When visiting the workshops, the craftsman will teach you how to make your own pottery so you can make your own bowl, glass, plate or even something like a vase. Then after, we continue cycling from Bat Trang to Dong Ho Beautiful Village by passing through the beautiful rice field along the Red River Delta.

Arrive at Dong Ho where people make block printing pictures. Visit a craftsman recognized by the state with the name “Golden Hand Man”.

Here is the village where we will have a local lunch made by the local families, and then, we continue cycling 8km more from Dong Ho to But Thap Pagoda, one of the largest pagodas in Northern Vietnam. This time is to visit the pagoda and surrounded area before we set off and drive back by van to Hanoi.
