Glimpse of Indochina in 15 Days: This trip is planned for the traveler with limited time giving you a glimpse of Indochina where you will begin an 8 days exploration in Vietnam from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City, then, proceed to Siem Reap to experience Angkor Wat and the Khmer Land, the final destination you will reach is Vientiane, the capital of Laos.


Welcome to Vietnam, on arrival at Hanoi’s Noi Bai International Airport, our tour guide will greet and transfer you by private car through the city to your hotel. In the afternoon, enjoy a trip to Van Phuc Silk Village in Ha Dong Town. Tonight, your tour guide will host and welcome a celebration dinner at local restaurant with authentic Vietnamese Cuisines. Overnight hotel stay in Hanoi.


After breakfast at your hotel, enjoy morning tour to Vietnam National Museum of Ethnology, the attractive collection of 54 ethnic minorities in Vietnam. Then continue to visit Yen Phu Incense Village. In the afternoon, make your way to Bat Trang Ceramic Village and in the evening, free at your own leisure. Overnight hotel stay in Hanoi.

Today, after your breakfast, go to Halong Bay, the world natural heritage site, enjoy drive though the rural area with scenic view of rice paddy field in the Red River Delta. You may be lucky enough to see cows or pigs on motorbike or Vietnamese kids riding on water buffalo while flying kites. On the way, enjoy famous Vietnamese coffee at Vietnam Handicraft Center, check in Vietnamese wooden junk to journey along the spectacular limestone islands coming across floating villages while having seafood lunch. Next, you will be disembarked to visit ‘Sung Sot’ or Surprising Cave, one of the most beautiful grottoes in Halong Bay, and then continue to Titop Island where you can swim on sandy beach or climb up to the top for panoramic view. In the evening, you will be delighted by candle light dinner on board with seafood. Overnight on board in Ha Long Bay.



A breakfast will be served in the restaurant with the combination of Western style and local one. Experience the bay up close and personal with a leisure sampan tour to Hang Luon or Lagoon Cave which allows you to see flora and fauna system of Cat Ba National Park, and then continue to Halong City. Disembark and enjoy seafood lunch at local restaurant. In the afternoon, go back to Hanoi. On the way back, stop to visit Dong Ho Painting Village in Bac Ninh province. The prints in Dong Ho are made with local wood and paper. The paint is also made from local organic materials like bamboo ash, ginger…and is applied to wood and pressed on paper. The process is repeated with different colors. The evening will be free for discovering Hanoi at night. Overnight in Hanoi hotel.


After breakfast, transfer to airport for short flight to Hue. Upon arrival, our local tour guide will welcome and transfer you to your hotel. The afternoon tour in Hue City includes Thanh Tien Paper-Flower Village and Tay Ho Conical Hat Village where you can learn the whole process to make Hue hat (“non Hue”) which is symbolized by the beauty of Hue’s women. In the evening, free at your leisure. Overnight in Hue hotel.


After your breakfast, leave Hue for Hoi An. On the way, take panoramic photo stop at top of the Hai Van Pass or the ‘Pass of Ocean and Clouds’ then visit the Cham Museum and Non Nuoc Stone Carving Village in Danang City then continue to Hoi An. In the afternoon, enjoy a walking tour in Hoi An to Japanese Covered Bridge, Phung Hung Ancient House, Phuc Kien Assembly Hall and Chua Ong Pagoda. The afternoon peaceful boat ride along the Thu Bon River to Thanh Ha Ceramic village allows you to take the deeper look to ceramic techniques and compare products between the north and the center of Vietnam. The balance of the day is at leisure on Cua Dai Beach. Overnight at hotel in Hoi An.


Breakfast at the hotel, transfer to Danang Airport for short flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival, check in the hotel. Enjoy the oriental tour to The Reunification Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral and Colonial Post Office, War Remnant Museum. In the evening, enjoy free time in city center. Overnight at hotel in Ho Chi Minh City.

The morning tour will lead you to Chinatown where you will visit Giac Vien Pagoda, Binh Tay Market where you can buy various things like gifts for your parents and relatives. In the afternoon, Visit Thien Hau Temple, Quan Am Pagoda and enjoy shopping time in District 1 with Ben Thanh Market. Let’s experience true southern hospitality this evening with a candlelight dinner at local restaurant with southern taste. Overnight in hotel at Ho Chi Minh City.

DAY 9: Flight to SIEM REAP via HO CHI MINH CITY  (B)

You enjoy the free time until transfer to airport for your departure flight to the kingdom of Cambodia, upon arrival at Siem Reap, you will be transferred to the hotel in the old market area for an overnight stay.


After arriving in Siem Reap, you are greeted and transferred to your hotel for arrival and check in. Rest shortly to head out for the majestic area of Angkor Thom and the Bayon Temple. Then we’ll visit Baphuon and the Royal Enclosure along with Phimeanakas, and Elephant Terraces together with the Leper King Terrace. Lunch on your own, and in the afternoon we head to visit Angkor Wat Temples dating from the 11th Century. Here you will see the Angkor Complex, an architectural grandeur and the bas-reliefs masterpiece, which was built as the largest religious structure in the world. Dinner in local restaurant, Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 11: Excursion to Benteay Srei Temples  (B/L/D)

Breakfast in hotel, pick up to visit the Banteay Srei in an excursion to learn about ancient, cultural and indisputable Khmer Art – the whole site has been built using pink stones, the temples were carved in stone and housed well-preserved sculptures. Latter, you will continue the day excursion to visit Kbal Spean, which was carved during the late 10th century and referred to as a god of Hindu. We then continue our day to climb the Kulen Mountain. On the way back, you have time to visit Ta Prohm, a temple which was built by King Jayavarman VII, then arrive in Siem Reap for lunch in local restaurant, Overnight stay.

Day 12: Preah Koh and Bakong and Tonle Sap – Departure to Vientiane, Laos (B/L/-)

Starting our day we head toward the ancient Roluos Temples to visit:

Preah Ko, Bakong and Lolei. These series of majestic temples were built earlier than Angkor Wat dating back to the early 8th Century, historically suggested is that the end of the temples dates back to the late 14th Century.

Lunch on your own in the afternoon, then we drive toward Tonle Sap Lake, the largest freshwater in all of Indochina. This time is to soak up the area and meet with the locals who have been living on the floating houses for all of their lives. Then we will transfer back to Siem Reap for a departure flight to Vientiane, arrive and check in at your hotel in Vientiane, the laid-back capital of Laos.


Vientiane city tour to visit the Wat Sisaket, this is said to be one of the most beautiful temples in all of Southeast Asia, then after we visit the nearby Wat Phra Keo, a temple more of a museum than a religious place, then visit the Patuxai Monument where you will have panoramic views of the city. Back to hotel for a short rest, we suggest you have your dinner near the bank side of the Mekong River. Overnight stay in Vientiane.

DAY 14: VIENTIANE – Free on your own (B/-/-)

Today is a free day on your own to freshen up and relax after a long journey, however, optional tours are on the table such as a bicycle trip to Buddha Park or around the Vientiane countrysides, do ask S Viet Travel for the further information. Overnight stay in Vientiane.
