Indochina is full of surprises and new experiences – the following package allows you to discover, feel and experience the highlights of the region in 16 days as the tour starts in Luang Prabang of Laos and comes to an end in Siem Reap with the in the middle being the magical attractions of charming Vietnam.

Day 01: Arrival in Luang Prabang

Arrival in Luang Prabang, meet with our representative, transfer to hotel, check in and the rest of the night is on your own to explore the night market. Overnight stay in Luang Prabang.

Day 02: Luang Prabang (B, L)

Our full day city exploration includes visiting the following sites:

Royal Palace and its Museum

Wat Sene and the incredible Wat Xiengthong as the oldest temple of the town

Wat Visoun and Wat Aham Temples

Arts and Ethnology Centre to get familiar with the country’s many ethnic cultures

Handicraft weaving villages of Ban Xieng Khong and Ban Xieng Lek

Wat Mai + Exploration over Mount Phousi over the Mekong River. Overnight in Luang Prabang.

Day 3: Luang Prabang – Pak Ou Caves and a visit to Xieng Mene (B, L)

Breakfast in hotel, afterward we board a cruise to enjoy the serene beauty of the Mekong River;

The small village of Ban Xang Hai, where the local rice wine is produced.

Next, excursion to mysterious Khouangsi Waterfall with a visit to the ethnic minorities at Ban Ouay

Return to Luang Prabang for an overnight stay.

Day 04: Flight to Hanoi via Luang Prabang (B)

Flight to Hanoi around afternoon (there are several flights), arrive and transfer to your hotel, short rest, after visit Hanoi’s famous water puppet show as well as enjoy a pleasant cycle riding through the old quarter of Hanoi. Overnight stay in Hanoi.

Day 05: Hanoi Sightseeing (B, L)

Start the day tour in Hanoi:

Ho Chi Minh Complex including the Mausoleum, former Residence Quarter, the Stilts House and the impressive One Pillar Pagoda.

Get familiar with the fabulous Temple of Literature, known as the first university of Vietnam

Visit Ethnology Museum. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 06: Overnight cruise in Halong Bay (B, L, D)

After breakfast, we drive to Halong Bay through the Red River Delta rice paddies and the green farmlands, arrive at Halong Pier, board a traditional  junk, welcome to drink and then enjoy cruising through the spectacular bay. Enjoy special seafood on board the cruise, and then after explore Sung Sot Cave, back to the cruise after an hour or so. Dinner and overnight on board the cruise.

Day 07: Halong – Hanoi, then flight to historic Hue (B, L)

Wake up early in the morning and participate in a tai chi class on board, then, continue cruising through the turquoise Halong Bay. Lunch will be served on board, then disembark the cruise, transfer directly to Hanoi Airport for a flight to historic Hue, arrive and check in, Overnight in Hue.

Day 08: Hue (B, L)

After breakfast, we continue our tour and our visit is including:

Tombs of King Minh Mang and Tu Duc and Tu Hieu Pagoda

Cruise on the Perfume River and visit the impressive Thien Mu Pagoda

In the afternoon, we see the Imperial Citadel and if time permits we visit Dong Ba Fishing Market, overnight in Hue

Day 09: Hue, Danang  and Hoi An (B, L)

Today we visit My Khe Beach, via spectacular Hai Van Road. Also, we visit Cham Museum and the picturesque Marble Mountain. Arrive in Hoi An by late afternoon, check in the hotel. Overnight in Hoi An.

Day 10: Hoi An (B, L)

Hoi An walking tours and visits the heritage houses, then we visit Quan Cong Temple, Quang Dong Pagoda, Phuoc Kien Pagoda, the Japanese Covered Bridge in the center of old Hoi An, and then take a pleasant boat ride in the Hoi An river. Overnight in Hoi An.

Day 11: Flight to Ho Chi Minh City via Danang (B)

Free on your own time until transfer to the airport for flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 12: Ho Chi Minh City (B)

Ho Chi Minh City is the bustling metropolis city which is far different from the capital, Hanoi. Our day tour includes the following sites:

War Remnants Museum and the Reunification Palace

Notre Dame Cathedral and the nearby Post office

Thien Hau Pagoda and the famous Chinatown with its busy market known as the Cho Lon, Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 13: Excursion to Cu Chi, then flight to Siem Reap in Cambodia (B, L)

Early in the morning, at 8:00 AM, we drive 60km west to visit the underground tunnels in Cu Chi which were used by Vietnamese troops during the American war, after we drive back to Ho Chi Minh City, transfer to the airport for a short flight to Siem Reap, transfer to hotel for check in. Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 14: Angkor Temples (B, L)

Pick up and to visit the incredible beauty of Cambodia, the most impressive site that has been in the bucket list of the travelers since centuries, we visit Ta Prohm, one of the Angkor’s most beautiful temples. We visit several temples, each with its own magnificent decoration and history:

Ta Prohm and Neak Pean, Kdei as well as Preah Khan Temple which was built by the King Jayavarman VII.

After lunch, we visit to Banteay Srei as well as the Banteay Samre Temple, located 35km from Siem Reap. Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 15: Siem Reap – Banteay Srei (B, L)

We drive to visit Angkor Thom, which dates back to the early 12th Century, there are many huge stone carving frescos each depicting goddesses, and then after, we visit the magnificent Bayon Temple, especially because of the unique fifty-four stone carved smiley faces of Avolokitesvara. Afterward, we visit the Elephants Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King. Later, we are in Angkor Wat, which represents the most historic temples of all Cambodia. Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 16: Boat Trip Tonle Sap – Departure End of the trip (B, L)

This morning we will enjoy a boat ride on Tonle Sap Lake. This is the largest freshwater lake in the whole region. We boat through the area while we see the floating villages, schools, clinics, karaoke places and basically everything made on the water. In the afternoon, drive back to Siem Reap for your departure flight back home, end of the journey.
