Visit the best of Laos, when we say best we mean it, you will land in the UNESCO heritage city of Luang Prabang and continue your visit around this magnificent city for you will then be flying to Hanoi, the oriental capital of Vietnam and also visit Halong Bay
DAY 01: LUANG PRABANG – ARRIVAL (-/-/-)
Arrival in Luang Prabang, meet with our representative, transfer to hotel, check in and the rest of the night is on your own to explore the night market. Overnight stay in Luang Prabang.
DAY 02: LUANG PRABANG – CITY TOURS (B/-/-)
Pick up for sightseeing in Luang Prabang, we visit:
Wat Xieng Thong along the mighty Mekong River
We embark on a boat for a leisure trip through the Mekong River
Visit Ban Xang Hai Village where they produce local rice wine
Continue to visit mysterious Pak Ou Caves, and after the river trip we drive towards Ban Phan Om and visit the hand weaving. Overnight stay in Luang Prabang.
DAY 03: LUANG PRABANG – KUANG SI WATERFALLS (B/-/-)
Wake up early in the morning to see the Alms giving ceremony to the monks, and after, we will take a short visit to the morning market, this is a place where one can find almost anything from A to Z. Return to hotel for breakfast, then we take a walk toward the Phousi Hill where we have a panoramic view over the town as well as the mighty Mekong River. We then pay a visit to Wat Visoun, Luang Prabang’s oldest temple, Overnight stay in Luang Prabang.
DAY 04: FLIGHT to HANOI via LUANG PRABANG (B/-/-)
We fly to Hanoi, an oriental and charming capital of Vietnam, arrive and check in, short rest, in the afternoon you will enjoy an hour cyclo ride through Hanoi’s Old Quarter. After, we get familiar with the country’s culture for the water puppet show, Overnight in Hanoi.
DAY 05: HANOI SIGHTSEEING (B/L/-)
Start the day tour in Hanoi:
Ho Chi Minh Complex including the Mausoleum, former Residence Quarter, the Stilts House and the impressive One Pillar Pagoda.
Get familiar with the fabulous Temple of Literature, known as the first university of Vietnam
Visit Ethnology Museum. Overnight in Hanoi.
DAY 06: OVERNIGHT CRUISE IN HALONG BAY (B/L/D)
After breakfast, we drive to Halong Bay through the Red River Delta rice paddies and the green farmlands, arrive at Halong Pier, board a traditional junk, welcome to drink and then enjoy cruising through the spectacular bay. Enjoy special seafood on board the cruise, and then after explore Sung Sot Cave, back to the cruise after an hour or so. Dinner and overnight on board the cruise.
DAY 07: HALONG – HANOI, THEN FLIGHT TO HISTORIC HUE (B, L)
Wake up early in the morning and participate in a tai chi class on board, then, continue cruising through the turquoise Halong Bay. Lunch will be served on board, then disembark the cruise, transfer directly to Hanoi Airport for a flight to historic Hue, arrive and check in, Overnight in Hue.
DAY 08: HUE (B, L)
After breakfast, we continue our tour and our visit is including:
Tombs of King Minh Mang and Tu Duc and Tu Hieu Pagoda
Cruise on the Perfume River and visit the impressive Thien Mu Pagoda
In the afternoon, we see the Imperial Citadel and if time permits we visit Dong Ba Fishing Market, overnight in Hue
DAY 09: HUE, DANANG AND HOI AN (B, L)
Today we visit My Khe Beach, via spectacular Hai Van Road. Also, we visit Cham Museum and the picturesque Marble Mountain. Arrive in Hoi An by late afternoon, check in the hotel. Overnight in Hoi An.
DAY 10: HOI AN (B, L)
Hoi An walking tours and visits the heritage houses, then we visit Quan Cong Temple, Quang Dong Pagoda, Phuoc Kien Pagoda, the Japanese Covered Bridge in the center of old Hoi An, and then take a pleasant boat ride in the Hoi An river. Overnight in Hoi An.
DAY 11: FLIGHT TO HO CHI MINH CITY VIA DANANG (B)
Free on your own time until transfer to the airport for flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
DAY 12: HO CHI MINH CITY (B)
Ho Chi Minh City is the bustling metropolis city which is far different from the capital, Hanoi. Our day tour includes the following sites:
War Remnants Museum and the Reunification Palace
Notre Dame Cathedral and the nearby Post office
Thien Hau Pagoda and the famous Chinatown with its busy market known as the Cho Lon, Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
DAY 13: EXCURSION TO CU CHI TUNNELS (B/L)
Early in the morning, at 8:00 AM, we drive 60km west to visit the underground tunnels in Cu Chi which were used by Vietnamese troops during the American war, time to visit the area and try to shoot an AK-47, back to Ho Chi Minh City, transfer directly to airport for your departure flight back to your home country, end of the trip.
