DAY 01: LUANG PRABANG – ARRIVAL (-/-/-)
Arrival in Luang Prabang, meet with our representative, transfer to hotel, check in and the rest of the night is on your own to explore the night market. Overnight stay in Luang Prabang.
DAY 02: Luang Prabang: City tours (B/-/-)
Pick up for sightseeing in Luang Prabang, we visit:
Wat Xieng Thong along the mighty Mekong River
We embark on a boat for a leisure trip through the Mekong River
Visit Ban Xang Hai Village where they produce local rice wine
Continue to visit mysterious Pak Ou Caves, and after the river trip we drive towards Ban Phan Om and visit the hand weaving. Overnight stay in Luang Prabang.
DAY 03: LUANG PRABANG – KUANG SI WATERFALLS (B/-/-)
Wake up early in the morning to see the Alms giving ceremony to the monks, and after, we will take a short visit to the morning market, this is a place where one can find almost anything from A to Z. Return to hotel for breakfast, then we take a walk toward the Phousi Hill where we have a panoramic view over the town as well as the mighty Mekong River. We then pay a visit to Wat Visoun, Luang Prabang’s oldest temple, Overnight stay in Luang Prabang.
DAY 04: Luang Prabang – Drive to Xiengkhouang (B/-/-)
Early in the morning after breakfast, we move to Xiengkhouang, driving through the lush landscapes. On arrival we explore Muang Khun and the nearby ethnic villages. Overnight stay in Phonsavan.
DAY 05: Xiengkhouang – Drive to Vang Vieng (B/-/-)
This morning we visit impressive archaeologic sites at Plain of Jars, and after, we visit some nearby ethnic villages that are populated by the Hmong Hill Tribe minorities. Next, we move to Vang Vieng and arrive late in the afternoon for check in and overnight stay.
DAY 06: Vang Vieng – Drive to Vientiane (B/-/-)
After breakfast we take a pleasant stroll through the morning market to then board a bamboo boat through the Nam Song River. Also, we have chance to visit the famous cave of Tham Jang. Then, we cross the river to Ban Huai Ngai Village. Afterward, we move to Vientiane, the capital of Laos, arrive and check in for overnight stay in Vientiane.
DAY 07: VIENTIANE – CITY TOUR (B/-/-)
Vientiane city tour to visit the Wat Sisaket, this is said to be one of the most beautiful temples in all of Southeast Asia, then after we visit the nearby Wat Phra Keo, a temple more of a museum than a religious place, then visit the Patuxai Monument where you will have panoramic views of the city. Back to hotel for a short rest, we suggest you have your dinner near the bank side of the Mekong River. Overnight stay in Vientiane.
DAY 08: Vientiane – Drive to Ban Na Hin (B/-/-)
After breakfast we drive toward the Khammouane Province, we will stop several times along the way to enjoy the beautiful landscape while doing some photography, arrive at Ban Na Hin, where we can visit Khong Lor Cave, Overnight stay in Ban Na Hin.
DAY 09: Ban Na Hin: Visit Khong Lor Cave (B/-/-)
Explore the famous Khong Lor Cave which river flows through the cave all year-round, we have time to visit the cave, latter, we drive to visit Ban Na Hin for a walk to impressive That Mouang and That Nams Waterfalls. We then embark on a small boat for an impressive ride through the main cave to the valley beyond. Overnight stay in Ban Na Hin.
DAY 10: Ban Na Hin – Drive to Pakse Via Savanakhet (B/-/-)
Depart Ban Na Hin toward Southern Laos, we drive to Pakse, we can stop at Savanakhet for our lunch break, latter, arrive in Pakse, check in and overnight stay in Pakse.
DAY 11: Pakse – Drive to Tadlo (B/-/-)
After breakfast we drive to Tadlo through the lush plantations and many ethnic villages. En route we stop to visit the Atacular Waterfall as well as a short visit to the Kato Hill Tribe minorities. we then continue through Paksong and Boloven Plateau. Overnight stay in Tadlo.
DAY 12: Tadlo – Wat Phou – Don Khone (B/-/-)
After breakfast we drive back to Pakse where we have chance to explore the ruins of Wat Phu. This impressive site is well known as the most important Hindu sanctuary of the Khmer Empire between the 9th to the 13th century. After, we move to the beautiful 4000 Island, arrive and check in at our hotel, Overnight stay in Don Khone.
DAY 13: Don Khone – Khong Island (B/-/-)
After breakfast we board a local longtail boat to enjoy the beautiful rich landscapes along the Mekong River at Si Phan Done. We then stop at Don Khone island where we have time to walk and visit the French Colonial Era Buildings and the marvelous rushing Liphi Waterfall. Back onto the longtail boat and if we are lucky, perhaps the rare freshwater Irrawaddy Mekong Dolphin may be seen at Ban Hang Khone. Overnight stay in Don Khone Island.
DAY 14: Done Khone – Departure (B/-/-)
Breakfast, then we board a boat to Ban Naka Sung and take a short drive to the Laos and Cambodia border, en route visiting the Khone Phapheng Waterfall, End of the trip.
