Two countries in the crossroad of the Indochina Peninsula, explore the best and most visited places in Laos and Cambodia. We designed this program to get the trip started in Luang Prabang and end it in Cambodia.
DAY 01: Luang Prabang – Arrival (-/-/D)
Welcome to Luang Prabang, Laos most enchanting town, transfer to hotel, rest shortly, and after, explore the town to visit Wat Visun, Wat Aham, and the magnificent Wat Xieng Thong as well as Wat Mai. After lunch on your own, we take a walk up to the Phousi Hill where we have panoramic view over Luang Prabang. Dinner at local restaurant, Overnight stay in Luang Prabang.
DAY 02: Pak Ou Cave – and Magic Mekong (B/-/D)
After breakfast we explore the Mekong on a longtail boat to visit the Pak Ou Caves as well as the exciting Tham Ting Cave, before returning to Lang Prabang we have a chance to visit the local villages along the way, arrive in town, we have a pleasant walk through the night market where you can find almost anything from textiles to handicrafts, Overnight stay in Luang Prabang.
DAY 03: Kuang Si Waterfall and Soft Walking (B/L/-)
Excursion to the beautiful Kuang Si Waterfall, on the way, stop to visit Hmong-and Khmu Hill Tribes for we have time to visit the villages where hill tribes are living, and then, arrive at the waterfall where you can take a refreshing bath under the fresh waters, after that, drive back to town. Overnight stay in Luang Prabang.
DAY 04: Activity day in Luang Prabang (B/-/-)
Breakfast at hotel, then we transfer to the Elephant Park for fun and exciting Elephant riding, this program is also combined with light trekking as well as the kayaking, Overnight stay in Luang Prabang.
DAY 05: Flight to Siem Reap via Luang Prabang (B/-/-)
Free day on your own, we suggest you visit the morning market, wake up early to visit the alms giving ceremony to the monks, or visit the royal palace and its museum, after, transfer to airport for a flight to Siem Reap, arrive and check in at your hotel, Dinner with Apsara Dance Show, Overnight in Siem Reap.
DAY 06: Arrival – Siem Reap (-/L/D)
After arriving in Siem Reap, you are greeted and transferred to your hotel for arrival and check in. Rest shortly to head out for the majestic area of Angkor Thom and the Bayon Temple. Then we’ll visit Baphuon and the Royal Enclosure along with Phimeanakas, and Elephant Terraces together with the Leper King Terrace. Lunch on your own, and in the afternoon we head to visit Angkor Wat Temples dating from the 11th Century. Here you will see the Angkor Complex, an architectural grandeur and the bas-reliefs masterpiece, which was built as the largest religious structure in the world. Dinner in local restaurant, Overnight in Siem Reap.
DAY 07: Excursion to Benteay Srei Temples (B/L/D)
Breakfast in hotel, pick up to visit the Banteay Srei in an excursion to learn about ancient, cultural and indisputable Khmer Art – the whole site has been built using pink stones, the temples were carved in stone and housed well-preserved sculptures. Latter, you will continue the day excursion to visit Kbal Spean, which was carved during the late 10th century and referred to as a god of Hindu. We then continue our day to climb the Kulen Mountain. On the way back, you have time to visit Ta Prohm, a temple which was built by King Jayavarman VII, then arrive in Siem Reap for lunch in local restaurant, Overnight stay.
DAY 08: Preah Koh and Bakong and Tonle Sap – Departure (B/L/-)
Starting our day we head toward the ancient Roluos Temples to visit:
Preah Ko, Bakong and Lolei. These series of majestic temples were built earlier than Angkor Wat dating back to the early 8th Century, historically suggested is that the end of the temples dates back to the late 14th Century.
Lunch on your own in the afternoon, then we drive toward Tonle Sap Lake, the largest freshwater in all of Indochina. This time is to soak up the area and meet with the locals who have been living on the floating houses for all of their lives. Then we will transfer back to Siem Reap in the late afternoon, arrive around 18:00 PM, end of the service.
