Day 2: Ho Chi Minh City (B/L/D)

Today is a full day of sightseeing as we head to Cholon, Saigon’s bustling Chinatown District as well as Vietnam’s first traditional medicine museum, the FITO Museum. Then, head back to the city center to Ben Thanh Market and enjoy a stroll through the colourful display of goods for sale. Other sites covered this day include The War Remnant Museum or History Museum, the old Post Office, Dong Khoi Street, Continental Hotel, the Opera House and City Hall. Overnight stay in Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 3: Ho Chi Minh City – Mekong Delta (B/L/D)

Depart for the Mekong Delta, leaving the hustle and bustle of the city behind to travel through Vietnam’s picturesque countryside with its rice paddies and rural villages. Upon arrival in the Delta board your boat for an overnight cruise. After some time in Cai Be and its market, you’ll enjoy a gentle trip to various parts of the Mekong River and its hidden treasures. Overnight stay on the Mekong Delta.

Day 4: Mekong Delta – Ho Chi Minh City – Nha Trang (B/L/D)

Crossing the Mekong on the way to Cai Be Floating Market, you’ll take in traditional sights such as rice barges, wooden ship building yards and even fruit drying along the Mekong’s banks. After visiting the colourful floating market, disembark the boat and return to Ho Chi Minh City. The rest of the day is at your leisure until your flight to the beach town of Nha Trang. Arrive and transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay in Nha Trang.

Day 5: Nha Trang – Dalat (B/L/D)

Drive to Dalat with a stopover of rural Nha Trang on your way out for a peek of what countryside living in Vietnam is all about. Then head to a local house for a hands-on cooking lesson. After four hours on the road, you’ll reach the mountain town of Dalat, with stops to hill tribe villages of the Ede, Koho and Chu Ru groups. Overnight stay in Dalat.

Day 6: Dalat (B/L/D)

Enjoy an orientation tour of Dalat (with the options to upgrade to a classic Citroen car), visiting flower gardens, pine forests, vineyards and perhaps the most colourful market in Vietnam. Other highlights include the 1930’s Dalat Railway Station, an organic vegetable farm, the palace of the last Emperor of Vietnam and the fascinating Lam Dong Museum. Spend the afternoon at your leisure, perhaps enjoying a relaxing spa treatment, before enjoying a special local, organic meal for dinner. Overnight stay in Dalat.
