DAY 1: WELCOME TO CAMBODIA - SIEM REAP ARRIVAL
Arrival in Siem Reap airport and transfer to the hotel for check in, free at your leisure time. Overnight in Siem Reap.
Day 2: ANGKOR WAT TOUR (B)
Breakfast at hotel: Start your sightseeing tour of Angkor area we spend a full day exploring the wondrous ancient ruins with the South Gate of Angkor Thom, which is famous for its series of colossal human faces carved in stone, the impressive Bayon Temple, the Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, the Elephant Terrace, the Terrace of the Leper King and the largest as well as the most complete temple of Angkor Wat. This architectural masterpiece was constructed in the 12th century and covers an area of about 210 hectares. We stroll around this massive edifice, seeing the many galleries with columns, libraries, pavilions, courtyards and ponds full of water reflecting the towering temple and the jungle covered temple of Ta Prohm is an incredible sight. There are enormous fig trees and gigantic creepers which embrace themselves in the stone foundations of the structure giving the impression of man’s creation being reclaimed by the powerful forces of nature. DAY 3: SIEM REAP – PHNOM PENH (B)
Breakfast at the hotel – Transfer overland to Phnom Penh. En route, we will stop for a quick visit at the spider market. Then continue to Phnom Penh. Lunch at local restaurant in Phnom Penh. Afternoon, Visit Royal Palace is a royal residence now where His Majesty, the King of Cambodia, and the royal families live. it is like a small town of royal dynasties. Continue to Silver Pagoda, serves less as a functioning temple than a repository for cultural treasures such as 90 kg golden Buddha encrusted with 2086 diamonds. Finally visit Wat Phnom Temple is one of the most important pagodas in Phnom Penh. Built-in 1373 on an artificial hill by the wealthy widow Daun Chi Penh. Accommodation at the hotel.
DAY 4: PHNOM PENH (B)
Breakfast at the hotel. Visit the Tuol Sleng Museum (S-21 prison). This former school was used as a prison by Pol Pot’s security forces. More than 17,000 people held at S-21 were taken to the extermination camp at Choeng Ek to be executed. Then drive to visit the “Killing Fields” of Choeng Ek (15 km south of Phnom Penh). Between 1975 and 1978 about 17,000 men, women, children and infants (including nine westerners) were detained and tortured at the S-21 prison and transported to the extermination camp of Choeng Ek. Visit Russian Market (Toul Tumpong Market), the Market has gained reputation for cheap clothing, a large selection of Buddha images and woodcarvings, betel-nut boxes, silk, silver jewelry, and classic musical instrument. DAY 5: PHNOM PENH – CRUISE TO CHAU DOC (B)
Breakfast at the hotel and transfer to the jetty where our boat departs.
12:00 PM Being at #103 – Sisowath Quay – Kh Daun Penh – Phnompenh – Cambodia (International floating port) and at 12:30 PM boarding Hang Chau express boat traveling from Phnom Penh to Chau Doc to start your amazing Vietnam tour.
Around 05:30 PM arriving in Chau Doc, transferring to the hotel and checking in the hotel. Staying overnight in Chau Doc.
DAY 6: CHAU DOC – TRA SU CAJUPUT FOREST – CAN THO (B/L/D)
06:00 AM Having breakfast at the hotel and checking out the room. Visiting a village of Cham ethnic minority, a Muslim mosque and towel weaving. Then, going to Chua Xu Lady temple at Sam Mountain. The temple is among one of the holiest places in Vietnam. According to old tales, She brings a lot of luck, health, and happiness to those who pay respect at her temple. Leaving Chua Xu Lady temple and traveling onward to Tra Su cajuput forest which is renowned for not only its almost-untouched natural beauty but also its sanctuary of flora and fauna. Taking a boat trip into the forest and harmonizing oneself with nature. The impressive pictures of cajuput, the fragrance of flowers and the music-like noise of birds, insects, and animals will definitely make travelers do not want to leave. From the observation post, the forest can be seen with an area of nearly 900 ha, home of many birds and animals, including some rare ones. Having lunch at a restaurant then departing for Can Tho. Checking in the hotel upon arrival and having dinner, afterward, it is free time. Staying overnight in Can Tho.
DAY 7: CAN THO – CAI RANG FLOATING MARKET – SAI GON (B/L)
06:00 AM Having breakfast at the hotel and checking out the room.
07:15 AM Being at a wharf to board a motorboat for sightseeing the Cai Rang Floating Market which is the biggest and most colorful floating market in the Mekong Delta’s region. In the very early morning, the river has become a busy commercial site where hundreds of boats packed with fruits, vegetables, plants, and foods…line along the river and are ready for trading. Sellers will hang samples of what they are selling on the top of a long pole on their boats so that buyers can see from a distance what sellers are selling. Afterward, cruising through small creeks to a local house where tropical seasonal fruits and hot tea can be enjoyed. Returning back to Can Tho and having lunch. Afterward, departing for Sai Gon and on the way stopping at Vinh Long market.
Overnight in Saigon.
DAY 8: HALF DAY CU CHI TUNNEL (B/L)
Half Day Cu Chi Tunnels Tour will bring you to a network of tunnels stretching over 250 km, have proven to be one of the most famous and historical aspects of the Viet Nam War. The tunnel system was created in 1948 to assist the Viet Minh as they fought the French for independence. Digging and building of tunnels continued over the next 25 years until it was an underground city with living areas, kitchens, storage, weapons factories, field hospitals and command centers. The tunnels could house thousands of people who lived almost entirely underground for years. There, people led relatively normal lives, which included getting married and raising children. During the American War, the entire area of Cu Chi was designated as a free-fire zone; and was, therefore, heavily attacked and bombed. In 1988, two sections of tunnels were opened up for visitors. Now you have the chance to enjoy this wonderful and informative experience. Created with “moving parts” these structures were designed to liveable for long periods of time. And for those who are interested, there is an opportunity for you to fire off rounds from a war era M16 or AK47 at the nearby firing range. DAY 9: HCM – FLY TO DA NANG – HOI AN (B,L)
Breakfast at hotel then transfers to the airport to fly to Da Nang. Upon arrival at Danang you will be greeted by our guide who will begin by escorting you on a tour of Danang City, including the Cham Museum and Marble Mountain. Continue to the delightful township of Hoi An, approximately 30 km away. Once at Hoi An we will check into our hotel, followed by some free time to explore. Overnight stay in Hoi An.
DAY 10: HOI AN ECO TOUR (B, L)
Would you like to go fishing with the local fisherman? Why don't you have a fun experience with the funny basket boat. You shouldn't have any hesitance because the day will put a broader smile on your face. It is very interesting to fish here on the river with the local fisherman as you catch your fish and we cook for you.
On the Fishermen & the Waterways of a Past War Tour you will enjoy a wide range of experiences – from learning traditional fishing techniques to paddling the strange and unique Vietnamese bamboo basket boats while exploring the now tranquil coconut-palm flanked waterways of a past war. DAY 11: HOI AN FREE & EASY – DA NANG – HANOI (B)
Free at your leisure time in Hoi An
Afternoon, transfer to Da Nang airport to fly to Hanoi. Upon arrival, a private vehicle will be waiting for you for transfer to your hotel. Overnight at Hanoi
DAY 12: BAVI ECO TOUR (B/L)
You will be picked up from the hotel at 07:30 and transferred to Ba Vi. You will visit 3 villages, at each village, the local host will show you Vietnamese countryside life. You will be welcomed by Mr. Duoc – a veteran, listen to his stories about his life during and after the Vietnam War. He also is an expert on handling the raw tea leaves and making it into the products to sell on the market Then you will visit a tea village with 30-years old tea trees. There walking and helping local people to harvest the tea leaves, you will know how to pick the best part of the tea tree to make the most wonderful beverage in the world. Then heading to Mrs. Chin’s house for a cooking lesson and have lunch within the garden. After lunch have some rest and your host will take you around her village and you will visit the local workshops. You will learn how to make tofu, unshell the rice and will see the workshop of local hammerer who is working there for 70 years. Cycling through the rice fields then you will arrive at the house of your next host Mr Chau, have your feet soaking in warm water with herb leaves following the recipes of Muong ethnic minorities. Continue the boat trip along the Da river and viewing the stunning scenery and discover the life of local people alongside the river.
Drive back to Hanoi in the evening, end your Bavi Eco Tour at the hotel around 18:30.
DAY 13: HA NOI – HA LONG BAY (B/L/D) SHARING CRUISE
Our guide and shuttle bus will pick you up at the lobby of the hotel and start journey east to Ha long Bay, through picturesque rice-farming villages of the Red River Delta, where we see daily Vietnamese village life. On arrival, we board a beautiful traditional junk and spend a full day and night cruising the bay’s 3000 magnificent limestone islets. In the evening when the boat is anchored in the middle of the stunning lagoon, we enjoy a wonderful seafood meal and later there is an opportunity for an excursion from the boat. Spend the night on the luxury boat.
DAY 14: HA LONG BAY – HA NOI (B/L) SHARING CRUISE
Rise early for a lesson in Tai Chi or just to enjoy a hearty breakfast. The boat will make its way back to the port stopping at the Cave of Surprises, full of stalagmites and stalactites. From here, it’s clear sailing back to the main harbor and the return Hanoi around 4.30pm. Drop at hotel in Hanoi. Free at your leisure time.
DAY 15: HA NOI DEPARTURE (B)
Depending on your flight time, you will have leisure time which is arranged by yourself for the last waking, cycling around, shopping souvenirs or handicraft products,… or having coffee like a local for the last time before we take you to the airport for your flight.
End of the service at the airport.
