On this unique and extraordinary way of travel through Vietnam and Cambodia, you will be immersed by the diverse cultures and ancient sightseeings as well as spend time with locals along the mighty Mekong River. Start the tour in Siem Reap - a region holds the most marvelous remains of the capitals of the Khmer Empire. Then transfer to Phnom Penh - current capital of Cambodia, visit the National Museum and Royal Palace with its striking Silver Pagoda. Boating on Mekong River to the South of Vietnam, you will be captivated by the unspoiled beauty of Tra Su Cajuput forest. Exploring local lives an underground network in Cu Chi Tunnels. Step into the old time with Hoi An ancient town and see the tranquil Hanoi as the final destination of this tour.
Day 01: Depart from Los Angeles
Fly from North America to Cambodia, crossing the International Date Line.

Due to time zones difference you will lose one day in travelling, you will catch it up on the way back.
Day 03: Welcome to Cambodia – Siem Reap Arrival
Upon arrival, your guide will be waiting for you with a sign with your name on it. The guide will assist you to meet up with your private driver and escort you to Sokha Angkor Hotel. You will be privately transferred between your accommodations and Siem Reap Airport by a professional driver and an English-speaking guide.
Day 04: Angkor Tour (B)
Today your private English-speaking guide will take you to Angkor area for exploring the ancient ruins. We will start with South Gate of Angkor Thom, which is famous for its series of colossal human faces carved in stone. Then continue to the impressive Bayon Temple, the Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, the Elephant Terrace, the Terrace of the Leper King and the largest as well as the most complete temple Angkor Wat. This architectural masterpiece was constructed in the 12th century and covers an area of about 210 hectares. We will stroll around this massive edifice, seeing the many galleries with columns, libraries, pavilions, courtyards and ponds full of water reflecting the towering temple and the jungle covered temple of Ta Prohm. There are enormous fig trees and gigantic creepers which embrace themselves in the stone foundations of the structure giving the impression of man’s creation being reclaimed by the powerful forces of nature.
Day 05: Siem Reap to Phnom Penh (B)
Relish a healthy breakfast at the hotel before privately transferred overland to Phnom Penh. Pause at the spider market for a quick stop. Then continue to Phnom Penh. Enjoy your lunch at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, your private English-Speaking will take you to visit the Royal Palace, a royal residence now where His Majesty, the King of Cambodia, and the royal families live. Then head to Silver Pagoda, which serves less as a functioning temple than a repository for cultural treasures such as 90 kg golden Buddha encrusted with 2086 diamonds. Finally visit Wat Phnom Temple – one of the most important pagodas in Phnom Penh, built in 1373 on an artificial hill by the wealthy widow Daun Chi Penh.
Later, enjoy a private transfer to your accommodation.
Day 06: Phnom Penh (B)
Today, with your private driver and private English-speaking guide, you will visit the Tuol Sleng Museum (S-21 prison). This former school was used as a prison by Pol Pot’s security forces. More than 17,000 people held at S-21 were taken to the extermination camp at Choeng Ek to be executed. Then head to visit the “Killing Fields” of Choeng Ek (15 km south of Phnom Penh). Between 1975 and 1978 about 17,000 men, women, children and infants (including nine foreigners) were detained and tortured at the S-21 prison and transported to the extermination camp of Choeng Ek. After that, wandering at Russian Market (Toul Tumpong Market), the Market has gained a reputation for cheap clothing, a large selection of Buddha images and woodcarvings, betel-nut boxes, silk, silver jewelry, and classic musical instrument. Later, enjoy a private transfer to your accommodation.
Day 07: Phnom Penh – Cruise to Chau Doc (B)
Have breakfast at the hotel and relaxing time before heading to the jetty. At 12 pm, you will be boarding on Hang Chau Express boat, traveling from Phnom Penh to Chau Doc. The approximate travel time is 5 hours. Upon arriving, you will be escorted to your accommodation in Chau Doc.
Day 08: Chau Doc – Tra Su Cajuput Forest – Can Tho (B/L/D)
Have breakfast at the hotel at 6 am and check out of the hotel. Your private English-speaking guide will take you to visit a village of Cham ethnic minority, a Muslim mosque and towel weaving. Then visit Chua Xu Lady temple at Sam Mountain. After that, travel onward to Tra Su cajuput forest which is renowned for not only its almost-untouched natural beauty but also its sanctuary of flora and fauna. Taking a private boat trip into the forest and harmonizing you with nature. The impressive pictures of cajuput, the fragrance of flowers and the music-like noise of birds, insects, and animals will definitely make you want to stay.
Day 09: Can Tho – Cai Rang Floating Market – Ho Chi Minh City (B/L)
The mighty Mekong River is the lifeblood of Vietnam and its neighbors. The Mekong Delta is a veritable biological treasure trove of unique species found nowhere else, the area is also integral to agricultural production in southern Vietnam. This morning, after having breakfast, head into the outskirt of Ho Chi Minh City, with your private driver and English-speaking guide, you will hop in a long-tailed boat to cruise around the floating market, where you will find villagers exchanging goods and produce from their canoes.
Stop for a typical Vietnamese lunch at a small local restaurant. After lunch, mingle with the local people and visit a bonsai garden, where you can learn a few tips on caring for these delicate miniature trees and cruising through small creeks to a local house where tropical seasonal fruits and hot tea can be enjoyed. Return back to Can Tho then privately transferred to Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 10: Ho Chi Minh sightseeing and Cu Chi Tunnel (B/L)
Today you will be escorted by an experience English-speaking guide in a private vehicle to discover the fascinating history of the city. Take the morning trip to visit Independence Palace, also known as the Reunification Palace, was built on the sight of the former Norodom Palace, which was the former residence of the President of South Vietnam until the end of April 1975 during the Fall of Saigon. It was here that the Vietnam War ended when a North Vietnamese Army tank crashed through its gates and led to the formal reunification of the two sides. Continue visiting Notre Dame Cathedral where the French colonial can be felt. Cross the street to the Saigon Central Post Office, a stunning architectural marvel with rich Gothic, Renaissance and French influences. Pause at the remarkable site of the War Remnants Museum, a must-see destination for any war or history buff visiting Vietnam. Delve into the images and sounds of Vietnam’s lengthy war history with the French and Americans. The museum features a comprehensive collection of the machinery, weapons, and photos of the Vietnamese side of the war. It’s a truly moving visit but not for the faint-hearted.
Refuel yourself with Vietnamese traditional lunch. After that, travel out of the city and into the countryside to explore the expansive Cu Chi Tunnel network, a key resource during the Vietnam War. The residents of Cu Chi took the war underground into a highly developed network of tunnels that at its height stretched as far as Cambodia and included meeting rooms, kitchens and triage areas. Imperceptible from the ground, opposing armies could roll their tanks over the bunkers without causing damage to the tunnels below. Living conditions were harsh – in addition to fighting the war, resident’s battled food and oxygen scarcity, venomous insects, and cramped living quarters. Gain important insight into the prolonged struggle against invading armies, and appreciation for the resilience and spirit of the Vietnamese people. After that, travelers can try the delicious manioc which was the main food for guerilla-warriors in Cu Chi during the war. Visitors can try to fire off an AK47 or MK16 or machine guns at the nearby shooting range.

Day 11: Ho Chi Minh City – Fly to Danang – Hoi An (B/L)
Have breakfast at the hotel and relaxing time before boarding a flight from Ho Chi Minh City to Da Nang. Approximately flight time is one hour and 30 minutes. Enjoy a scenic transfer from Danang to Hoi An by a private vehicle with a professional driver and an English-speaking guide.for about 40 minutes.
After check in at your hotel, it is time to explore the town at your own peace or just relax at your resort.
Day 12: Hoi An Eco Tour (B/L)
Today your private English-speaking guide will meet you at the hotel and take you to a tour of the countryside and rivers around Hoi An. As you meander through the countryside you will experience the friendliness of the local people greeting you along the way. After that, you will board the Hoi An Eco-tour boat for a river cruise to meet and engage with local fishermen. Enjoy a hands-on experience of traditional net fishing. You will also take a paddleboat trip in a unique Vietnamese bamboo basket boat down the waterways of a coconut palm paradise.
In the afternoon, leisure time on your own exploring the ancient town or relaxing at the hotel.
Day 13: Hoi An Leisure day – Da Nang - Hanoi (B)
Today you will have free time explore Hoi An at your own pace, seeing what interests you. This ancient town is full of Japanese merchant houses and pagodas, temples and antique warehouses. Or just lounge about in a laid-back riverside café on the bank of the Thu Bon river.
Later, enjoy a scenic transfer from Hoi An to Da Nang with a private vehicle for about 40 minutes. Board a flight from Da Nang airport to Hanoi. Upon arriving at the airport, you will be escorted to your accommodation. Check in at the hotel and have a rest after the flight.

Day 14: Hanoi – Bavi Eco Tour (B/L)
Have breakfast at the hotel then you will be escorted by an experienced English-speaking guide and private vehicle to Ba Vi, a countryside located at the outskirt of Hanoi. The approximate travel time is one hour and 30 minutes.
Then arriving at Mr. Duoc’s house, you will be welcomed with fresh honey tea and green lentils or lotus seeds that made by his family. Imagine a Vietnam in the old time of war through stories of Mr. Duoc, who is not only a veteran who lives during those hard times but also a green tea expert. Visiting his tea plantation which is one of the largest in Ri village and joins with locals in green tea processing. Afterward, having a Vietnamese cooking demonstration with another local host and then enjoy a home-cooked lunch in a lovely garden.
After that, wandering around the village and mingling with local people. You will visit the local craftsman who has been skilled at making conical hats from a very young age and other workshops in the village like making tofu or unshelled rice. As you meander through the countryside you will experience the friendliness of the local people greeting you along the way. Then join your guides for a leisurely cycling trip along the country roads. Observe traditional Vietnamese rural life as the local people work in the paddy fields. Along the way, watch out for a water buffalo plowing a paddy field while ducks swim across the top. Stop at another host family for foot bathing following the recipes of Muong ethnic group and relaxing time before embarking on your private boat for a trip along the Da river.
Later, enjoy a private transferred between Ba Vi to your accommodation in Hanoi.
DAY 15: Hanoi – Halong Bay (B/L/D)
At around 9 - 9.30 am, You will be transferred from Hanoi to Hai Phong. Approximate travel time is three hours.
Embark on your luxurious craft, Era Cruise and you will be welcomed aboard and greeted with a complimentary drink, followed by an introduction. Boarding time is approximately at 12 pm to 12.15pm.
In the afternoon, we will set sail for Lan Ha Bay (part of Halong Bay), passing Da Chong Islet where you can see an ancient lighthouse built by the French over a century ago. Sail among the craggy islands, stunning pristine, and limestone outcrops for which this bay is famed. You can explore Ba Trai Dao beach via kayaks or immerse yourself in the crystal clear waters. Back to your lavish liner and cruise to enjoy happy hour on board or take part in a Vietnamese cooking demonstration. DAY 16: Halong Bay - Hanoi (B/L)
In the early morning, enjoy a Tai Chi sessions on the sundeck or relax with an early morning cup of tea, coffee or juice to watch the stunning scenery unfold before you. After that, a light breakfast will be served on board. Upon completing breakfast, continue your journey through the mysterious caves and amongst the remote islets via local rowing boats. The breath-taking beauty of this World Heritage region will certainly impress you. Later in the morning, return to your main ship where brunch will be served while cruise draws closer to the mainland.
Upon your arrival to the Era Cruise dock in Halong Bay, disembark from your ship and you will be privately transferred back to Hanoi by a luxury van.
DAY 17: Time to say goodbye – Hanoi Departure (B)
Relish a healthy breakfast on the final day of your trip. Have a relaxing time before privately transferred to Hanoi International Airport by an experienced English-speaking guide and a professional driver. Then fly back to your homeland.
