Laos is Southeast Asia's best secret being the country to combine the finest samples of trekking adventures, cultural activity and more - the following package is designed for those who have little time but want to explore the iconic sites and cities of Laos.
DAY 01: Vientiane: Arrival (-/-/D)
Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is on your own. We suggest to take a walk along the magnificent boulevards of the Mekong River. Overnight stay in Vientiane.
DAY 02: Vientiane - Luang Prabang (B/-/-)
After breakfast we visit Vientiane's best attractions including Wat Sisaket that is glazed with many Buddha statues and the former royal temple of Wat Prakeo and the Luang Stupa as well as imposing Patuxai Monument. Later, we visit the morning market where you can find antique goods, handmade textile and more. After lunch we visit the Revolutionary Museum to get familiar with the new revolution time.
Transfer to airport for a short flight to Luang Prabang, arrive and check in at the hotel. In the night, we have time to stroll through the night market. Overnight stay in Luang Prabang.
DAY 03: Luang Prabang – Pak Ou Caves - Baan Phanom (B/-/-)
Today we get ready to explore the UNESCO Heritage City of Luang Prabang where we visit Wat Visoun and the Wat Aham Sanctuary together with Wat Mai, Wat Sene and the well-preserved Wat Xieng Thong. After, we visit the mysterious Pak Ou Caves and along the way we have the chance to visit the local villages as well as the beautiful landscapes embellished with the rice paddies, time to visit the cave, after we cross the city is a short drive to Ban Phanom, well-known for its hand weaving and traditional textiles work, Overnight stay Luang Prabang.
DAY 04: Luang Prabang – Departure (B/-/-)
Early this morning you may want to wake up early and participate in the daily early morning alms giving ceremony to the monks, after we have time to visit the morning market, back to hotel for breakfast, and after if time permits we can pay a visit to the National Museum, then, we transfer to airport for the departure flight, end of the trip.
