ITINERARY

DAY 01: HANOI ARRIVAL
Your trip begins with arrival in Vietnam. Your private driver will meet and greet you on the airport. You will be escorted to the hotel by the private transportation. Check-in to the hotel and get over the jet lag. Remaining part of the day is at leisure. So, enjoy as all of you want to.

You can mooch through the streets of the city. Historic charm, architectural marvels, and products’ variety are splashed all over this area.
After enjoying the first day by yourself and return to the hotel for a relaxing sleep.

DAY 02: BA VI ECO TOUR (B/L)

AM

07:30 – Pick up at your hotel.

09:30 – Start your trip at your host’s house by having a welcome drink. Short break at your host’s house

10:00 – Cycling around the village, then stop at the local market (occurred only on the odd days of the Lunar calendar) to have a real experience about how the locals sell their own products for a living or head to the traditional Miến village (“Miến” is a type of fresh noodle made from a starchy, tuberous fruit named “dong”), if the trip is in Winter because “Miến” is just made in a certain time from September to December. Besides, this Ba Vi Eco Tour brings you a chance to enjoy the rice fields while cycling from the foot of the Ba Vi mountain to Da River.

11:15 – Arriving at Mường ethnic’s house – Mr. Chau. Hands-on farming experiences by growing vegetables and harvesting the raw vegetables in Chau’s garden. Vietnam is a tropical country with the most famous variety of raw vegetable herbs such as lettuce, mints, fragrant knotweed, coriander, balm-mint, cilantro and so on from farm to table – this is the way the local people not only have fresh food to eat but also have enough to trade at the local market..

In this Eco Tour, you can also join a fishing trip with Mr. Chau on the Da River. You will get in a small boat where you experience a local fishing man’s work. Mr. Chau will teach you his local unique technique to hide a trap in the river and catch up fishes.

Your morning will end with a boat trip down the Da River on which you can enjoy the breathtaking landscapes and explore the local life on the riverside!

12:45: Have lunch with the host’s family and short break after lunch

After the lunch, Mrs. Chin will take you around her village and you will visit the local workshops. You will learn how to make tofu, unshell the rice and will see the workshop of local hammerer who is working there for 70 years and makes and fixes all the farming tools (and not only) in the village.

15:00 – You say goodbye to your localhost and head to the 30-year-old tea fields in Ri Village. This place is very essential at providing tea products for the whole north of Vietnam. Besides walking and helping local people to harvest tea leaves, you will know how to pick the best part of the tea tree to make the most wonderful beverage in the world.

After tea cultivating trip, you will come to Mr. Duoc’s house. He is a veteran and the owner of a large tea farm. He also is an expert on handling the raw tea leaves and making it into the products he sells on the market.

Have a break time with desserts made of ground green lentils or lotus seeds and listen to the host’s stories about the Vietnam war. As a witness of Vietnam’s history, he will help you understand the former times of this country.

Drive back to Ha Noi in the evening, end your Bavi Eco Tour at the hotel around 18:30

DAY 03: HA NOI – HA LONG BAY (B/L/D) SHARING CRUISE
In the morning, check-out from hotel and get pick-up by the Cruise. Take a route most scenic to reach Halong Bay, taking you across the Red River Delta with emerald green rice paddies stretching for as far as the eyes can see. On arrival at Halong, you get to enjoy a cruise on the Bay to better explore the limestone rocks and the karst grottoes.

After you are done with your exploration of the bay, it is time to enjoy an utterly delicious seafood lunch, after which a trip to the famous limestone cave in Ha Long bay, you’ll get to spend some time here, kayaking or swimming, so that you can get closer to the floating villages and shops. Towards the evening, you will return to the boat for an early dinner, followed by some time at leisure. You can opt to attend the activities taking part in the boat or relax for the day.

DAY 04: HA LONG BAY – HA NOI (B/L) SHARING CRUISE – NIGHT TRAIN TO SAPA
Rise early for a lesson in Tai Chi or just to enjoy a hearty breakfast. The boat will make its way back to the port stopping at the Limestone Cave, full of stalagmites and stalactites. From here, it’s clear sailing back to the main harbor and the return Hanoi around 17:00.

20:30 – 21:00 Pick-up at the hotel. Transfer to railway station for a night train to Sapa (schedule 21:50 – 06:30).

DAY 05: SAPA TREKKING UPHILL TO TRIBLE VILLAGE (B/L/D)
AM : 6h30 arrive Lao Cai, pick up at Lao Cai Station then transfer to Sapa. You will have breakfast and some time for R&R.

09h00 – 09h30 Trek to Cat Cat villages of Black H’Mong tribe . Enjoy the waterfall in Cat Cat and beautiful scenery along the way. Then check-in hotel (check-in after 12:00PM). Enjoy lunch at local restaurant.
Afternoon: free time to explore & discover Sapa Market & Stone Church. Back to hotel for dinner and enjoy the night in Sapa town .

DAY 06: SAPA TREKKING AND RICE TERRANCE EXCURSION (B/L) – NIGHT TRAIN TO HA NOI
After breakfast you will check out and leave your luggage in the hotel, get ready for the trip. Trek down to Lao Chai village to visit the Tay and Day tribes then keep going along the bottom of the Sapa valley to get to Ta Van village which is supposed to be the most beautiful one in the area.

Have a picnic lunch on the way.

You go back to Sapa by motorbike/jeep. Back to Lao Cai Station by our car, then dinner at your account. App .5 hours trekking – 13 km

Overnight at the A/C soft sleeper cabin to Hanoi (schedule: 21:15 – 05:30)

DAY 07: HA NOI – FLY TO HUE CITY (B)
Pick you up at the train station, transfer back to hotel for early check-in.

Leisure time in Ha Noi before we transfer to the airport for the flight to Hue City.

DAY 08: HUE IMPERIAL CITADEL TOUR (B/L)
Complex of Hue Monuments lies along the Perfume River in Hue City and some adjacent areas of Thua Thien Hue Province. Hue City constitutes the cultural, political and economic centre of the province, and was the old imperial city of Vietnam under the Nguyen Dynasty.

From 1802 to 1945, Hue was the capital of unified Vietnam under the reign of the 13 Nguyen Kings. During these years, architectural works of a high cultural and historic value were built: the Citadel, especially the Imperial City (including 253 constructions), 7 Royal tomb compound of 9 kings of the Nguyen Dynasty, the Temple of Heaven, Tiger Arena, hundreds of pagoda. The monument complex of Hue, nowadays, was listed by UNESCO as the world heritage in 1993.

In the Morning: 07h50 – 08h10 Pick up you at your hotel and then take a full day to discover Hue: visit Emperor Khai Dinh stomb and Emperor Tu Duc ’s stomb. Stop on the way to see how conical hats and incense sticks are made.

Lunch at a local restaurant.

In the Afternoon, visit Imperial capital during Nguyen Dynasty, An Hien Garden House and the seven – storey Thien Mu Pagoda on the riverbank. Return by boat on the gentle Perfume River .
17:00 Arrive in your hotel.

DAY 9: HUE – TRANSFER TO HOI AN (B)
Leisure time in Hue City and transfer to Hoi An by private cab (no tour guide)

DAY 10: HOI AN ECO TOUR (B/L)
Would you like to go fishing with the local fisherman? Why don’t you have a fun experience with the funny basket boat. You shouldn’t have any hesitance because the day will put a broaden smile in your face. It is very interesting to fish here on the river with the local fisherman as you catch your fish and we cook for you.

On the Fishermen & the Waterways of a Past War Tour you will enjoy a wide range of experiences – from learning traditional fishing techniques to paddling the strange and unique Vietnamese bamboo basket boats while exploring the now tranquil coconut-palm flanked waterways of a past war. On this tour we provide an authentic social and cultural insight into the local Vietnamese way of life. As well you will take part in some hands-on activities that are fun, safe and interesting to people all of ages.

DAY 11: HOI AN LEISURE DAY (B) – FLY TO SAI GON
Having leisure time in Hoi An.

Shopping/cycling around the Old Quarter or visit Cua Dai beach will be highly recommended.

Then transfer to the airport for the flight to Sai Gon

DAY 12: SAI GON CITY TOUR AND CU CHI TUNNEL (B/L)
Take the morning trip to visit Independence Palace, also known at the Reunification palace, was built on the sight of the former Norodom palace. The Independence palace is a widely known landmark of Ho Chi Minh City and was designed by the architect Ngo Viet Thu. Continue seeingthe beautiful structures from the French Colonial times such as the Notre Dame Cathedral, the historic Central Post Office. Followed by the remarkable site of the War Remnants Museum the museum has a vast display of the both the Indochina wars.

Have lunch at local restaurant.

Depart for Cu Chi tunnel, the trip will take approximately one and a half hours driving. Upon arrival, before exploring the tunnels, you will have some short introduction followed by introductory video about how the tunnels were constructed and how the people survived in the harsh conditions of the war time. Then, spend your time to explore the remaining area and tunnel systems which included the special constructed living areas with kitchens, bedrooms side by side with other martial facilities like storage, weapons factories, field hospitals, and command centers helping whoever lives inside the tunnels meet their basic needs. Besides, there are also many hidden trap doors and dangerous traps within the maze-like tunnels for security purpose during the war. Afterward, special tea and cassava (guerilla’s food during the war) will be served.

Break time for relax or time for those who want to try the real shooting gun.
Return to Saigon. End trip

DAY 13: SAI GON – MEKONG DELTA (B)
Pick-up from your hotel, transfer from Sai Gon to Mekong delta (no tour guide). Arriving early in the morning at around 9:30AM and meet your tour guide, you will be visiting the first stop-over Cao Dai Temple in Cai Be which is symbolizing for the local unique religion and then Cai Be Cathedral.

After that, you visit Cai Be inland market by bicycle, buy some fresh tropical fruits there and engage in the conversation with the local vendors. Continue to visit ancient and French colonial houses in the town.

Leaving the town, you will be go on a local ferry from Cai Be to Tan Phong Isles and then we will row on a sampan along the canals under the green canopy of water coconuts trees. This is optional depending on the tides of the Mekong river.

Back to the wharf, you will be cycling to Mekong Rustic homestay on Tan Phong isles surrounded by lush tropical fruit gardens. There you have a lunch break, with tea and refreshments prepared by the host of Mekong Rustic.

After break time,cycling around the peaceful Tan Phong Isles. Stop at local kindergarten if it is a school day (optional) to make friend with the kids in a village school and at a local farmer’s house to savour a cup of tea and local banana candies specialtiess. Enjoy your self-picked tropical fruits at one of the most abundant orchards on Mekong river while listen to Don Ca Tai Tu – an Intangible Cultural Heritage recognized by UNESCO

Saying goodbye to the friendly host, we keep on cycling to the bang conical hat (nón bàng) workshop (optional) before leaving Tan Phong Isles to get back the pier and depart to Mekong Rustic Can Tho by your own transportation for overnight.

DAY 14: MEKONG DELTA – SAI GON (B/L)
In the early morning at 05.30 AM, you will take a boat to Phong Điền floating market – the local market where they pick the tropical fruits from their garden to sell there and have an opportunity to talk to the sellers on their boats. Then you continue to cruise through a beautiful small canals to reach Cai Rang floating market – The biggest whole sale tropical fruits on floating market.

After experiencing floating market, you will visit a local family who made noodles by handmade with 3 generations and you can try to learn how to make noddle with them. You will have a light breakfast on local
restaurant beside beautiful and quiet canals. You will be back to Mekong Rustic Can Tho at 10:00 AM

At 11:30, you will check out. The ferry will take you back the wharf to depart to HCMC. End of tour.

DAY 15: SAI GON DEPARTURE
Relish a healthy breakfast on the final day of your trip. Complete the hotel check-out formalities after which you can visit the local markets and buy souvenirs for your loved ones. Later, proceed for departure and board your flight back home. Trip Ends.

CANCELLATION:

S Viet Travel must be informed in writing. Cancellation charges would be effective from the date we receive advice in writing and cancellation charges would apply as follows:
o 31 days before departure – Administration fees of USD150pp + Airfare cancellation fees
o 15 Days- 30 days before departure – Administration fees of USD 350pp + Airfare cancellation fees
o Within 14 Days before departure – No refundable

CONDITION OF INSURANCE:
S Viet Travel demands that all clients going on our trips hold a proper personal medical insurance. If clients do not hold insurances and refuse to sign on before departure date, S Viet Travel reserves the right not to carry out the trip.
Kindly acknowledge your acceptance of the above terms and conditions by signing and returning to S Viet Travel a copy of the present contract and of the attachment with all itineraries.
